Patients can refer themselves to PPP if they are self-funding or claiming from health insurance. PPP is recognised by most if not all health insurance companies and therefore your physiotherapy treatment should be covered. However, some health insurance companies (like BUPA) insist on a referral from your GP or consultant prior to them agreeing to pay for your physiotherapy. If you are intending to use your health insurance to pay for your treatment at PPP, it is advisable to contact your insurer first to ensure that you are covered and to get an authorisation code. We will ask you for your Health Insurance company name, your account number and your claim number during your initial assessment. Please also ask your insurance company about the number of sessions of Physiotherapy that they have authorised.
