Tadhg Foley

Tadhg is a qualified sports massage therapist and student physiotherapist. In his sports massage clinics at PPP, he treats patients for general tension, tightness and soreness, specific musculoskeletal injuries and for athlete maintenance. He is studying MSc Physiotherapy at Cardiff University and is on track for a distinction.  At Cardiff University Tadhg also looks after student-athletes on the high-performance sports program.

Tadhg has participated recreationally in many sports including running, football, weightlifting, surfing, and swimming. He is now an amateur submission grappling competitor who competes in novice-level tournaments.

Before this, Tadhg did his Bachelors at Queens University Belfast, achieving a first-class honours in Mathematics and Physics. Tired of numbers, he completed the Unlocked Graduates program, working as a prison officer while studying MSc Applied Custodial Leadership. He was promoted to Supervising Officer within a year in the service and achieved a distinction in the masters for developing a hip-hop based intervention for young offenders and implementing it on the frontline. Having enjoyed the rehabilitation element of this program but keen to explore his interests in sports and healthcare, he is now applying his aptitude for rehab to physical and sports massage therapy.
