Rhian Jones
Rhian qualified from the University of Glamorgan in 2001 with a degree in Applied Sports Science. She went on to study a BSc in Physiotherapy and qualified from the University of Salford in 2004. From here she started her Physiotherapy career in The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital NHS Trust. Here Rhian completed her rotations before moving down to Cardiff to be closer to home. Rhian quickly gained a post on the Musculoskeletal rotation before gaining a static Outpatients post in the University Hospital Of Wales. She has worked with sports teams including being the first team physiotherapist for UWIC rugby and getting to utilise her physiotherapy skills in Twickenham in the BUSA finals. Here she dealt with acute injuries and rehabilitation of the sporting individual and gained extensive experience in sports injuries. Rhian has a wide range of knowledge in musculoskeletal injuries but has a particular interest in the spine and lower limb. She has also gained extensive experience in occupational health and ergonomic advice within the workplace. Rhian is able to give a wide range of specialist manual therapies as well as being able to provide acupuncture to cater for each person on an individual basis. Rhian is currently studying for her MSc in Advancing Physiotherapy and is in her final year which is keeping her occupied but when she does have a free moment she likes to go out running and enjoys cycling.
