Sharon is a highly specialised Paediatric Physiotherapist who also works at the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales, Cardiff where she manages the hydrotherapy facility and musculoskeletal outpatient service for children between 0-13. Sharon qualified from Bristol in 2000 and has specialised in Paediatric Physiotherapy since 2007. Sharon has worked within the Cardiff and Vale Trust at their children centres and the Children's hospital since this time, however during a 2 year sabbatical from 2012 she studied in the USA and had the opportunity to shadow Dr Parks at his SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) facility in St Louis learning directly from the therapists there. As a result Sharon has had extensive experience in all fields of Paediatrics however she currently specialises in working with children with musculoskeletal disorders such as spinal / knee / ankle pain or sporting injuries. In addition Sharon treats younger children with torticollis, positional tallipes, developmental delay, preferential head turn and neurological conditions such as Cerebral Palsy. Sharon is currently studying for a Masters degree in Physiotherapy and has just completed a secondment where she was head of the Paediatric Physiotherapy service within Cardiff and Vale UHB.
Kate qualified in 2000 from the UWCM. She has worked in the Cardiff and Vale Trust ever since. Kate specialised in Paediatrics in 2004 and now works in the Children’s Hospital of Wales. Her specialist interest is Paediatric Orthopaedics, especially Paediatric Scoliosis. She completed the Introductory Paediatric Bobath Course in 2009.
